can you say klutz

Gracefulness isn't my strong suit. While employed by Pier 1, I once knocked a glass off a shelf and promptly burst into tears. But at least I didn't pull a stunt like this. Poor guy.

Ok, I fall down routinely, and so that cracked me up. That's a great story!

Amazing, the visitor falls down the stairs and the only thing broken were the vases. I am glad the museum seemed most concerned for him.

Question: why would a museum have rare, very expensive vases unprotected at the bottom of a staircase? Not the best placement for a fragile artifact.

Jana,
Anytime I hear a story of falling I think of Malissa falling backwards out of her chair at Highland. She was here this week and we laughed once again about that memory. Good Times! I have been reading your blog for a couple of months now, thanks for the thoughts.

Wow, do you think Lloyd's of London insured those vases (vahzez)?

I, too, am somewhat of a klutz. Once when I was teaching my college class, I was sitting on top of the teacher's desk, which was actually more of a table. I turned around to get a pencil out of my bag which was on the chair behind the desk, but unbeknownst to me, the screws were missing that held down the front of the table top. As I leaned backward, the table top flipped backward, sending me feet-over-head backwards to the floor. Luckily for me, my students were mature enough not to laugh until I did. It's a good thing I wear jeans and not skirts to class!
