is it just me...
...or is the blogging world kind of slow right now? Maybe it's just me. Anyways, I'm gonna take the easy way out today and link to this well-thought-out article on JMG's Tangled Weblog.
A journal pondering my role as both mom and world citizen

I noticed it too. Especially for my own blogging. The lull of summer ended and everyone had to get back to work or school.
Interesting thing to look for--notice the times and dates of posts and comments. Predominantly during work hours and days.

Post something to encourage people to donate to the Red Cross to assist the crisis in the Gulf South. The situation in New Orleans (close to us) is growing worse by the day, and the Red Cross is fulfilling vital needs, but they are desperately needing funds.
I've posted some about the effects of Katrina (along with some links to ways to help) on my blog. (www.chasingcontentment.blogspot.com) Please forgive me for giving it here, but I want to encourage everyone to help as they can.

Yeah, things are a little slow....as this blogging thing has started to take over my life, I'm using a service to monitor when my favorite blogs are updated - but it never tells me when yours is! I'm well over a week behind. I wonder, do you have your RSS/XML feed enabled?
Jenni - What the heck is my RSS/XML feed?!? I have no clue!!!
And what is the program you used to monitor blog updates? How does that work?
Thanks for the link, Jana.
Hey Jana -- go into your Blogger settings - on the Site Feed page, choose Yes to enable your site feed.
I use a website called Bloglines to monitor the blogs that I read (all those that are links on my blog). I just go to my account page at Bloglines and it tells me when my blog-friends have updated their sites (if they publish their RSS/XML feed). Saves lots of time because I don't have to click through each blog that I read. I'm not sure it is the best site, but it does work pretty well.
Any more questions, let me know.... :-)
Also, don't know if you are getting comment spam or not, but blogger has a new word verification feature that will help circumvent that. It is in your comment settings.
